Day 14 Shanghai - Bus to Pudong Airport - back to New York City |
| This trip was strange in that several days earlier I felt worn-out, I
think we both felt that way, a case of sensory overload, but now I wasn't
ready to go home. Now I realized there was a lot we hadn't seen right here
in Shanghai and our plane was leaving in a few hours. We had only spent
about an hour in Pudong the night before and half of that time was in a
restaurant. We packed up our bags and walked several blocks to where an express bus would pick us and take us to the airport. There were several museums and and buildings and neighborhoods I wanted to see but now I would only see what was visible from the windows of the bus. Everything else would have to wait till next time. |
On the bus to the airport |
We had a short flight back to Incheon Airport outside Seoul, South Korea. A shorter layover this time and then the long flight back to New York City. We had the Bi Bim Map or Bi bi Bap or whatever you call it again. We watched a few more mediocre movies. We got some sleep. We saw an amazing sunrise of oranges and reds over Alaska. We landed at JFK and boarded the subway back to Brooklyn. The End |
